EUCLID serves customers with lightning data all over the Europe. To obtain lightning data in more countries or in whole Europe you are welcome to contact us. Contacts may be found in contact or you can contact your national lightning network operator directly, which will act as your reference for Euclid services. To obtain data of individual country please contact the national network provider in the country of interest. National lightning data providers contacts may be found in network .

EUCLID provides real time lightning data, via web services, visualization with it's own software on a map and on a chosen geographic reference. The "real time" means a delay of some seconds between the lightning and visualization. The area covered by the real time visualization is all over Europe. Lightning data in such large area are extremely useful if there are some decitions to make, such as safety alert announcements, switch power lines or re-route air traffic. With reliable lightning information in the right time customers can make decitions to save their property, human lives, working process and in the end their time and money.

Lightning data plays an important role in safety and is increasingly being integrated into weather broadcasts. The newest research confirmed, that where lightning begins, storm patterns are easily detected, and up to the minute accurate weather nowcasting is possible.

EUCLID archives all lightning data into a database and can serve any customers need with archive data and can as well provide any kind of post process information, like evaluate the mean number of flashes or to tell how many lightning strokes hit in a particular area at a particular time. Archive data are oftenly used for different analysis and calculations. Statistical maps and taylored-studies can be easly provided, based on the european wide lightning database.
